Kirkby Overblow Community Hub
Welcome to the Kirkby Overblow Community Hub website. Here you can find information on our fundraising efforts to turn The Star and Garter pub into a community asset.
The Star and Garter dates back to the 1800’s as a coaching house and has been used as a public house until 2018 when it was closed down.
Its location is at the heart of the village of Kirkby Overblow and in the centre of the Lower Wharfedale Valley. It has become run down, and there is now an opportunity to purchase it.
A village questionnaire was circulated with positive feedback. The main points indicated a need for a multi purpose financially viable facility.
We are in the process of raising funds for the project, and if you would like to be involved or make a pledge, please contact us.
